11 partnership agreements have been signed between the Government of Burundi and the Al Mansour Holding Group of Qatar

NTAHANGWA, August 19 (ABP) – The Government of Burundi signed, on Sunday, August 17, 2025, 11 partnership agreements with Qatari investors from the Al Mansour Holding Group, led by His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Jabor Bin Jassim Al Thani.
The ceremony was chaired by Prime Minister Nestor Ntahontuye, ministers, senior state officials, as well as the Qatari delegation.
According to Festin Ntiyumvamabwire, the communications and press officer at the Prime Minister’s office, the session began with the signing of a fuel supply contract between the Burundian Petroleum Company (SOPEBU), represented by its director Samuel Ndayisenga, and Mr. NIDAL Ammache, president of Al Mansour Holding.
Following that, several Burundian ministers signed sectoral agreements, notably in the fields of finance, budget, and digital economy, including agreements for granting banking licenses and developing financial institutions in electronic communications and cybersecurity, infrastructure, social housing, transport and equipment, as well as a cooperation agreement for the development of ports and airports. Agreements were also signed in the areas of mineral resources, energy, industry, commerce, and tourism. There will also be efforts to develop the environmental, agricultural, and livestock sectors.
According to Mr. Ntiyumvamabwire, these agreements were signed as part of contributing to the success of Burundi’s vision to become an emerging country by 2040 and developed by 2060. It should be noted that both parties committed to setting up a monitoring committee and a roadmap to oversee the implementation of these agreements.
